A lover of stories of sea\nadventures as a boy, his adult life had seen him wading into the world of letting\nproperties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before long, he was the\nproud owner of a successful letting agency that boasted a portfolio of over\n1200 properties. He had built the business from scratch and was incredibly\nproud of his achievements, but soon enough something felt like it was missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Growing His Letting Business<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The early days of\noperating a business fulfilled the sense of adventure that Simon had felt since\nhe was a young boy reading of pirates and crashing waves. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The days were long but\nwere filled with enthusiasm for growing the business. Before long came more\nproperties, more staff, and more work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Simon thrived on the\npositive feedback his business was achieving. Landlords and tenants alike were\nall pleased with the impeccable work Simon\u2019s business offered, which only\nstrengthened his desire to provide value and seek perfection in his, and his\ncompany\u2019s work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The work his business\ncarried out consisted of all-day inspections that were carried out with the aim\nof capturing data on a property that reflected its condition at the point of\ncheck-in and check-out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Simon enjoyed keeping\nthings in good order, and he enjoyed this aspect of his work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As mentioned, the hours were long, but Simon enjoyed working with a good team around him and thoroughly enjoyed his work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Search for Inventory Software Begins<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
As the workload grew, so\ndid the hours that the team, and Simon, were being forced to work. Simon loved\nnothing more than spending time by the sea, but lately, he had found himself\nbound to work until long after the sun had gone down. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The desire to find\nsolutions to improve the workflow began. Simon wanted to find a way to do his\nwork quicker but didn\u2019t want the quality of his service to suffer. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The first thing he thought\nof doing was forming report templates. These templates made it much quicker to\nwrite down thoughts and notes whilst undergoing property inspections throughout\nthe day. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They also allowed him to\nimport digital photographs seamlessly and efficiently, meaning all reports were\neasy to make, full of information, and looked professional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The team initially found the new technology to work well, and the workflow did improve. But the slight improvement that was realised wasn\u2019t enough. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n
Finding the Letting Inspection App to Fix Simon\u2019s Issues <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Simon\u2019s business was a\nsuccess. His customers loved his work, and his team enjoyed working for him,\nbut Simon wasn\u2019t happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Even with his newfound\ntechnology speeding up his process, it was still taking him long into the night\nto produce the high-standard reports his company had grown a reputation for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
His passion as a seaman\nwas being lost under a mound of report-writing. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Simon prided himself on\nhis professionalism and he wouldn\u2019t settle for anything but the best when it\ncame to producing in-depth and accurate reports for his clients. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He still found himself\nworking until 10PM to make sure all work was ready for the next morning. Despite\nhis yearning to get on the sea, his feet remained dry due to work constraints\nthat he worried he may never escape from. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Inventory App That Fixed It All<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Simon knew something had\nto change, so he began to investigate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He started by focussing on\nall of his working methods. He knew to speed up the process he would have to\ndrop the paper and pen approach, and he began to look for a mobile app.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was proficient with\nsocial media, sharing photos, taking notes, and he knew these skills would\ntransfer perfectly into his work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
But the question was how?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He made note of his\nnon-negotiables when it came to finding an app. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
He needed something that\nallowed him to capture data in an organized way that remained consistent with\nhis business needs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Due to his huge portfolio,\nhe needed something that was flexible and that could cater for his many\ndifferent properties and the vast array of shapes and sizes they came in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It needed to capture\nphotographs that were high quality, and allow him to write long, detailed notes\nexplaining each individual photo and adding information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He prided himself on the\nquality of his inventory and inspection reports, and the new app had to allow\nhim to keep up this standard. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Finally, he needed\nsomething that would convert all of this information into a report in a way\nthat was significantly more efficient than the arduous MS Word-based digital\nreport template method he currently used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
