About Imfuna
Imfuna builds property inspection software on a single conviction: when a deposit, a defect or a dispute is on the line, the quality of the record decides. We have been building that record since 2009 - for surveyors, letting agents, facility managers and construction teams on three continents.
Why Imfuna exists
It began with buildings that had already failed
Before Imfuna, Jax Kneppers spent his career on the wrong end of the inspection process. As a forensic engineer and expert witness in construction disputes, he examined properties after things went wrong - and watched the same story repeat in courtrooms and tribunals: the outcome rested on the quality of each side’s records, not on anyone’s memory of what had actually happened.
The records that reached him were paper checklists, loose photos and recollections - assembled after the fact, easy to challenge, expensive to defend. No tool existed to fix that, so in 2009 he gathered Silicon Valley engineers to build one: a way to capture the condition of a property so thoroughly, and so verifiably, that the record could speak for itself.
Two years of field development later, Imfuna Let launched in the UK lettings market. The same platform now runs residential and commercial surveys, facility inspections and construction site reports - every one time-stamped, GPS-located and preserved.
In November 2025 the company opened its next chapter: Jax handed the chief executive role to Ionut Furnea, who is leading Imfuna into the age of AI and scaling the platform - while Jax remains its founder and its conscience on what a record must withstand.
When there’s a dispute, the record decides.

How we work
Evidence over adjectives
Every photo and comment is time-stamped and GPS-located as it is captured, not reconstructed at a desk afterwards. Published reports are locked, so what a tribunal sees years later is exactly what the inspector recorded - corrections are issued as a new report alongside the original, never written over it. If a report can't survive scrutiny, it isn't finished.
Built for the field, not the desk
Inspections happen in basements, roof voids and half-built sites with no signal. The apps capture everything offline and sync when you're back in coverage, and dictation replaces typing - because the fastest keyboard on site is your voice.
People in the loop
When you contact support, you reach someone who knows the product, usually within a few working hours. And what gets built is shaped by the people who inspect for a living - clerks, property managers and surveyors who tell us what the field actually needs.
Who we work with
One platform, five property workflows. Templates align to industry standards, including the RICS Home Survey Standard for residential surveying.
