Switching to Imfuna / Home Inspection
Switch before the next inspection.
Changing inspection software feels riskier than it is: your templates, your wording and your sign-off survive the move - and from the first inspection, capture, photos, dictation and the finished report run on one platform, with the record frozen from day one.
Why inspection businesses move
Rarely one dramatic failure. Usually the write-up, every working evening.
- Write-ups finished at home, evening after evening
- A meter on the business layer - dollars added to every published inspection
- Per-inspector fees that climb as the team grows
- No audit trail when a report is questioned months later
- Photos in one place, notes in another, the template in a third
- An archive that exists only while the subscription does
No platform yet?
Still assembling reports in Word?
Plenty of inspection businesses come to Imfuna from Word templates and a camera roll, not from a rival platform. Row by row:

December 2026
On Horizon? Your reports have a deadline.
Carson Dunlop is retiring Horizon in December 2026, with data export closing mid-December. If that is your software, the move is no longer optional - only the destination is.
- Download every finished report and your photos before the export window closes
- Bring a recent report to a walkthrough and we will map it to an Imfuna template, set up with you
- Your record here starts with your first inspection - captured once, frozen on generation
Where Imfuna sits
The biggest names held their prices this year. Ours simply start lower - with the meter left off.

| With AI dictation | $110 · included on Business | $109 · AI assist included | not published |
| Additional inspector | $85 to $130 per seat | +$99 per inspector | not published |

What switching actually involves
Book a walkthrough
A working session run on your own workflow. Bring a recent report; we will show you how the same inspection runs in Imfuna - capture, dictation, output.
Set up your templates
Home inspection report templates are already there, and your own formats are configured with you - structure, wording, branding - until the output matches what your clients expect.
Run your first inspection
Offline-first capture on iOS or Android: photos with GPS and time stamps, floor-plan pins, and dictation biased to inspection vocabulary. A full day with no signal is the normal case.
Retire the old tool
Download your reports and photos from the old account before you cancel it - then close it. Everything from here is captured once, frozen on generation, and kept for seven years.
Why customers stay
Four things you can verify up front:
Running since 2009
Fifteen years of continuous operation, through every hype cycle the industry has produced.
Built for work on site
Offline-first capture that keeps working in basements and voids with no signal, and dictation instead of typing - everything syncs when you are back in coverage.
99.9%+ uptime, every year
When the diary is full and the clock is running, the platform is up - above 99.9% in each of the last four years, measured internally.
Evidence kept for seven years
Reports freeze on generation and re-render byte-identical. Originals - GPS and time stamps included - are archived for seven years.
- 600,000+
- inspections carried out on Imfuna
- 60 million+
- photos captured
- 99.9%+
- platform uptime, measured year after year
- 7 years
- originals archived, stamps intact
Two things to test on your first inspection
Both are checkable on day one, on your own work.
The output
Your current report, next to ours.
Bring a recent inspection report to a walkthrough and we run the same property in Imfuna. The comparison is concrete: the write-up happens on site, every photo is stamped and attached to the section it evidences, and the finished document freezes on generation.
- Write-up done on site, not at a desk that evening
- Every photo GPS and time-stamped, attached to what it evidences
- The finished report freezes on generation - nothing silently edited
Product screenshot to come
Composite: a typed Word inspection report beside the same inspection finished in Imfuna - same property, same day, two documents.
Audit trail
Reports freeze on generation.
An issued report re-renders byte-identical months later. Issue history is append-only, originals keep their GPS and time stamps, and everything is archived for seven years.
- Byte-identical re-render of any issued report
- Append-only history - nothing silently edited
- Named sign-off on every report
Metered vs flat
The $4 that never stops.
The market's business layers meter per inspection: Spectora Advanced adds $4 to every published inspection, and ISN runs $3.75 to $7.25 each. Imfuna's Portfolio Dashboard is $199 a month for the whole account - from around 50 inspections a month, flat wins, and it keeps winning as you grow.
- Every flagged defect from every inspection in one filterable, costed grid
- One click from any row to the photo that evidences it
- $199 a month per account for up to 5 inspectors, $399 from 6
The record they rely on
Independent inspectors, national agencies and institutional landlords run their inspections on Imfuna.

Hundreds of businesses run their inspections on Imfuna
Inspection businesses among them - in their own words.
I was initially a little reluctant to get started on this new way of working due to a habit and fear of new technology. However, once I started to use the system, I can only say that it has transformed my week… I no longer have to work nights and weekends, and all reports are completed for the client within 24-48 hours, rather than the usual 5 working days. I would thoroughly recommend the system to other Surveyors.
Questions we get
What happens to the reports in our current system?
They stay where they are. Finished reports are finished - keep the PDFs, and keep access to your old account for as long as its retention terms require. Imfuna does not import another system’s data; your record here starts with your first inspection, captured and frozen properly.
We are on Horizon. What should we do before December?
Download everything while the export tools are open: every finished report PDF, your photos, and any client lists your plan can export. Carson Dunlop has said data export closes in mid-December 2026. Then bring a recent report to a walkthrough - we will map it to an Imfuna template, set up with you.
Do we have to rebuild our templates from scratch?
No. The library templates are ready to use, and adjusting them to your structure and wording is part of onboarding - or you can build your own in the app. If you would rather hand it over, share a sample of the report you issue today on the Custom Report Template Build page and a specialist rebuilds it in Imfuna, end to end. On Enterprise and custom agreements, speak with our team - the build is part of your individual quote.
What does it cost?
Plans for home inspection are on the pricing page.
